HydX AB was established in October 2009. The business consists of sales, construction and production of hydraulic systems for a wide range of applications in mobile, industrial and marine equipment. In addition to extensive knowledge of hydraulics, the company possesses unique expertise in oil lubrication systems.
These systems are applied in hydrostatic bearings for rotating equipment within heavy industry. HydX is involved in many projects, including the development of the hydrostatic bearing function for what will be the world’s largest reflecting telescope, which is to be sited on Mauna KeaIt, a mountain in Hawaii. It will be possible to see 13 billion light years out into space and hopefully to discover life in our own, or another, galaxy. HydX has 20 employees in Ystad and four in Gothenburg. HydX, which exports around 50 % of its production, is one of the most competitive and innovative hydraulics companies in the Nordic countries.
